The TWERPS!

TWERPS is, of course, the Tunbridge Wells and Eridge Railway Preservation Society. From very small beginnings the society is, to use its own word, on the 'cusp' of making its vision a reality - through trains between Tunbridge Wells and Eridge which will connect at the latter with the Southern service between Uckfield and London.
It has been a mammoth undertaking, mostly by volunteers. The only problem is that passengers disgorging from trains at the Old West Station will have the joys of the Sainsbury car park to feast their eyes on. Something needs to be done to make the route between the station and the Pantiles more tourist friendly.
