Consultation: Southern Railway listened!!

Public transport from Tunbridge Wells to Brighton is a nightmare. The bus take almost two hours as does the railway. It doesn't matter if you go via St Leonards, Redhill or London Bridge. Use your car and it is about an hour door to door. Even so, I prefer the train: you can have a drink and read, although you cannot smoke.

Southern proposed to change the service pattern and one consequence would have been that all passengers from St Leonards for Brighton would be forced to change at Eastbourne. I participated in the consultation (as did 163 others) and, lo and behold, the through service is to be retained.
