Poor service from South Eastern

The advent of the high speed trains from St Pancras to Ashford saw the demise of the Charing Cross-Tonbridge-Ashford fast trains. Now, if I wish to travel from Tunbridge Wells to Ashford, the train on the Tonbridge-Ashford leg calls at Paddock Wood, Marden, Staplehurst, Headcorn and Pluckley. Before the high speed line service began the train was non-stop.

Clearly South Eastern are seeking to make the service from Charing Cross to Ashford unattractive in order to persuade passengers to use the more expensive high speed route.

Much slower, so now I will always take the car to Ashford and points beyond.
