World Cup fever will no doubt grip some of the population of England in the next few days. Already cars are sporting the George Cross. Whilst I hope England do well, indeed win the FIFA World Cup Trophy (The Jules Rimet Trophy England won in 1966 was nicked in 1983), I am not confident to the point of placing money on the outcome.
We could do with some good sporting news in the weeks ahead as austerity grips the nation and European economies try not to fall apart.
