A warm sunny day, a good crowd, plenty of stalls and entertainment: what more could one ask for? Met up with a number of my long-standing Sherwood friends. The MP turned up (he does every year) and two of the Conservative ward councillors were helping in the community centre kitchen.
I took advantage of the good weather to explore Sherwood Lake. A gem of a place and well worth a visit. The water lilies have flowered and there is a good display of rhododendrons. Many paths to explore away from the lake.
