German verdict on Greek bailout

Resolution of the problems with the euro will be determined by Germany.  However, how and when a solution is found is dependent on German public opinion and calculations by Mrs Merkel of the electoral consequences of the options that are available.

Whatever else one might think about Gordon Brown, at least he kept us out of the euro.
